Hi! My name is Miss Sara. I have over 20 years of dance training and 10 years of dance instruction experience. I specialize in youth and adult dance instruction in the styles of: tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary and musical theater for beginner to advanced levels. I also have a background in gymnastics, cheerleading and danceline/pom. As a dance student, I studied: ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, musical theater, bellydancing and gymnastics. Hailing from Minnesota, I was a member of my high school dance team and captain of my high school cheerleading squad. As a teenager, I was involved in the Teacher Assistant program at my dance studio, which is where I found my passion for teaching. As an instructor, I have taught students ages Preschool to Adult in various styles. I have taught for both dance studios and community programs and I have also instructed both recreational and competitive dance classes. If you are not wanting to commit to a class, pay studio prices or are not sure if a classroom setting is the best for you or your child, please contact me for private dance lessons offered at your home or Online with the TakeLessons platform. If you are looking for one-on-one instruction outside of your regular dance class, I can provide additional tips and pointers to help you improve your technique. I provide music for our lessons (if applicable). I am also able to cut/edit music if a student is wanting to use it for an audition or performance. All choreography is original and age-appropriate. Dance shoes (ballet, tap, jazz) are encouraged, but not required. Let me know if you have questions about where or how to buy them! In case you are wondering, the TakeLessons online classroom is super easy to use! It is similar to Skype or FaceTime, but allows for me to share documents with you and chat, which means I can write out the steps as I'm teaching them to you so you can learn terminology.
