I am a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. I have been an FNP for 5 years with experience in Urgent Care, Telemedicine, Community Health, and Outpatient Primary Care. For the past 4 years, I have practiced in a community health center servicing the underserved low-income population. I provide services to patients of all ages (Pediatric-Geriatric) and enjoy giving back to my community. Before my career as an FNP, I was a Registered Nurse (RN) for 4 years working in Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics, Neurology, Dialysis, and Private Duty Nursing. My experience as an RN provided the foundation of my career and sparked my interest to continue my education in nursing. My Doctoral Project "Improving Weight Management with an Adult Obesity Program in Primary Care" displays my competency in translating nursing evidence into practice, and showcases my ability to provide accurate synthesized evidence-based research in manuscript form.
