My name is Sang, I am a professional violinist for over 20 years. I have been playing with the San Diego Symphony, the Classics 4 kids concert series, the California Chamber Orchestra. My private music studio is in UTC area. And I also teach for California Music Studio. I have given numerous recitals and philanthropic performances all over the San Diego areas. Please allow me to tell you a bit of my musical Career.
In 1988 I received a full scholarship from Roosevelt University in Chicago to study music and violin. I currently hold a first violin position with the Chicago Grant Park Symphony in the summer season. I have been playing the violin since the age of 4. At the age of nine, I was accepted to the prestigious Shanghai Conservatory of Music. I performed as soloist with numerous orchestras in China and won most of the major national competitions.
I was a full time member of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra between 1993-2010. I have performed in Germany, Austria and Cuba. Being an accomplished violinist has given me the opportunity to work with famous people such as Yoyo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell, Frank Sinatra Jr, Doc Severinsen and Marvin Hamlisch to name a few.

I work with my students by using Suzuki method, along with traditional fundamental methods. I will help them to develop music reading skills. Also I believe using scale books , etudes books to build solid techniques. In addition, I use wide selections of solo music ( from classical selections to popular music) to work on musicality. I encourage my student to communicate with me, all questions will be answered in detail. My goal is to train my students to perform with confidence!

As an adult beginner, I was very nervous about beginning violin lessons. I've been taking lessons with Sang for about 15 months now and have loved every lesson. She is patient and has helped me progress farther than I thought I possible for me. Along with technique, she encourages me to learn and explore music beyond the etude books.
Great violin teacher!!
Sang is very patient and encouraging. She's really good at explaining things and can see immediately where I need to improve (so I don't develop incorrect habits). I've learned so much in a relatively short amount of time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a violin instructor!
Sang is very patient and encouraging, and very understanding for those who are just beginning like myself. I would highly recommend her to others.
