Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
I learned Spanish first in the classroom, and then on the ground in Mexico. I developed deep relationships with the people of Southwestern Mexico through my philanthropic work there, friendships that I still hold to this day. I return to Mexico regularly, and as a result I have crafted my Spanish such that it highly resembles that of native speakers. As I have progressed over these past fifteen years with my own language acquisition, I have developed a new, fun way for students to do so themselves: through real conversation with real, native speakers. I have taught this approach in universities, private tutoring, at the corporate level, and in multiple areas abroad as well as online. I encourage students to take what they learn in the classroom and apply it in a social setting in real life. This is the true key to long-lasting language acquisition.

Teaching since:

¡Hola! Congratulations on beginning your language-learning journey, wither with Spanish or ESL. My name is Sam, and I have been teaching language for close to a decade. Ever since my first trip to Mexico all those years ago, I have been learning more and more about the importance of acquiring language through real relationships with real native speakers. I have made countless friends over the years, all across the globe, and as such I have taken my language skills to a level the classroom alone could never take me. That said, it's important to pair real-world experience with personalized language development in a classroom setting. As your instructor, I will give you the tools necessary to master Spanish or ESL grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and all things reading, writing, speaking and listening. In addition, I provide students with instruction on how to speak to native speakers, develop personal relationships with people, work new material into conversation, and how to break free from the fear of making mistakes. If you're up for the challenge, let's get started!
