Love drives some to madness. But you know what love drove me to? German. Following a 6-month relationship with a German exchange student my junior year of high school, learning German became my life calling. I feel slightly guilty to admit my numerous hours spent religiously rehearsing different phrases, song lyrics, and grammar rules. Clearly my idea of fun was a bit skewed for a 16-year old hehe.

Spilling into my college years, my passion drove me to major in the German language and spend nearly 5 months in Germany teaching the youth about human rights and cultural understanding. My last month there, I was confused for a native on multiple occasions, which got me thinking - or dreaming, I should say. The dream that I'm working toward daily is to move to Germany and assist Middle Eastern refugees in assimilation, utilizing my Arabic and German language skills. Step by step & day by day, I'm making my way to the beautiful Deutschland.

Sami is a fantastic instructor. He's patient with our (awful) pronunciation, he keeps it interesting to the point where the hour just flies by, and he took the time to clearly understand our learning goals before jumping into the lessons. Plus, he's teaching us as a couple for a very good value.

I highly recommend him to any adult learners interested in German. My wife is already hoping she can teach her another language when we have a year or so of this one under our belts :)

I got to know Sami during several workshops for students of all ages in Germany and was impressed by his enthusiasim for the german language and his ambition of providing an intercultural, age-appropriate, learning experience. I strongly belief he is able to both advance your language skills, as well as the motivation to deep-dive into the culture and therefore fully recommend him as an instructor!

I was a co-trainer of Sami in Germany at a conference, no matter if we did sessions in german or english, Sami is awesome in both and has this extraordinary ability to make people comfortable learning something new.

From a co-trainer perspective I can only highlight Sami's competence to explain content and to choose the right method for every learner. And most important: Sami made me learn something new about my own native language German!

I got to know Sami while he was taking part in our program "together for a more colorful world". He was a participant and taught children and youths about cultural differences with a focus on human rights.

The lessons he conducted were mostly held in German and he showed excellent skills of using the language. Sami developed his language skills during the time here and learned even the tricky bits and pieces of the language even native speakers stumble over.

Beside his participation in the project. I got to know Sami as a pleasant person to talk with about politics, philospohy, economy etc. He is a very good listener and is always open for feedback.

It was great having him here in Germany and I'm grateful for having met Sami.

Thank you very much and I wish you all the best for your great future :)
I hope to see you again on a "Bratwurst" and "Sauerkraut"

I met Sami during his time in Germany, where we organised trips to schools for lessons about human rights and cultural understanding. For a non-nativ speaker he had a solid understanding about the logic behind german grammar - and he had always great fun connecting with people of all ages.
Besides languages, Sami is interested (and has a great position) on many actual topics like justice, globalisation, and the cultural dimension of learning and developing ideas for solutions to the problems of todays globalised world.

That's an important point because Sami won't only support you in learning the german language but also german society and tradition - furthermore you will have great conversations with him!

Do it, get in touch with Sami and learn "deutsch" :)

Sami's German is top-notch! I first experienced his German skills during his tutroship in Germany. As a native speaker and linguist myself, I was amazed by his proficiency.
In addition, he understands how to make complex matters easily accessible and comprehensible. Aside from his extensive experience and knowledge, it is his welcoming, patient and caring nature what sets Sami apart. It is not without reason that teachers and students alike enjoyed working with him.

I guarantee that you will enjoy his lessons as well. Just hit him up and see for yourself! :)

Sami worked with us in Germany conducting classes in German and all students loved him! He managed to engage all his students, built deep understanding and used the right resources for different kinds of learners. We couldn't have wished for a better instructor. We wish him all the best for his future endeavors and hope to have him over again some day.

When learning German I always turned to Sami for help with language comprehension and areas where I got stuck. Even when he was a student he was already a teacher! He is great at making difficult things simple, no doubts your German skills will increase substantially under Sami's wings.

I have been taking lessons with Sami for about 5 weeks now, and I have noticed a significant improvement in my language comprehension/speech. My grandmother being German, I am now able to have fluent conversations with her. Going into his class I had basic knowledge of the language, but now I can do more than just "get around". I highly recommend to any level of German learner!

I am 100% sure that the only reason I got an A in my German 2 class was because of Sami. I'm pretty serious about actually learning German, not just getting by in class, and after working with Sami for a semester, it was pretty clear that my German had improved so much more than it had previous to Sami. Sami's really patient, and he really engages you during the lessons and gets you talking. I'm going to Germany this summer and I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to actually speak to people, and not just conjugate verbs at them!
