Love drives some to madness. But you know what love drove me to? German. Following a 6-month relationship with a German exchange student my junior year of high school, learning German became my life calling. I feel slightly guilty to admit my numerous hours spent religiously rehearsing different phrases, song lyrics, and grammar rules. Clearly my idea of fun was a bit skewed for a 16-year old hehe. Spilling into my college years, my passion drove me to major in the German language and spend nearly 5 months in Germany teaching the youth about human rights and cultural understanding. My last month there, I was confused for a native on multiple occasions, which got me thinking - or dreaming, I should say. The dream that I'm working toward daily is to move to Germany and assist Middle Eastern refugees in assimilation, utilizing my Arabic and German language skills. Step by step & day by day, I'm making my way to the beautiful Deutschland.

Sami is a fantastic instructor. He's patient with our (awful) pronunciation, he keeps it interesting to the point where the hour just flies by, and he took the time to clearly understand our learning goals before jumping into the lessons. Plus, he's teaching us as a couple for a very good value. I highly recommend him to any adult learners interested in German. My wife is already hoping she can teach her another language when we have a year or so of this one under our belts :)

I require a LOT of patience with my learning process, and Sami is ohhhh so patient with me :) But really. The best thing about Sami, is he totally fits his teaching style to my personal needs and preferences. He's not afraid to push a me a little farther every lesson, which has only helped me improve. Vielen vielen Dank! :)
