Samer Gorrin began drums and percussion lessons at age of 10 in Havana, Cuba, in the elementary school of music. After 5 years of stuying, he and fourteen students were selected among 200 students, to continue their studies in the prestigious conservatory of music Amadeo Roldan. During those years Samer performed in the most famous Havana theaters with school bands artist and collaborating in his friends graduations.

Samer took clases with the most memorables percussion teachers in Cuba such as Roberto Concepcion, Otto Santana, Mauricio Gutierrez, Agustin Gomez and Margarita Ponce. Including Roberto Chorens, the principal of the conservatory, they were part of Samer graduation jury in 2011, in whish Samer was honored best graduation of the year.

Samer Gorrin is a cuban drummer and percussionist with 20 years of experiences playing all around Cuba and USA. 

Samer has an great teaching skills. He is patient and makes the class very enjoyable.
