Learn Clarinet fast from an expert teacher with years of online teaching experience
I have been playing clarinet for 14 years and have been teaching private lessons since 2017. I have taught beginners through intermediate-advanced students. Many of my middle and high school students have been passing auditions for top-level ensembles! My goal as a private teacher is to provide a truly customized experience for the student. The first lesson is where we get to know each other and get a baseline for the student's skills. We also set your first round of goals in the first lesson. Students start playing in lesson one! The more you play, the better you get. From your firs lesson, we use a variety of method books and solo pieces from a variety of genres to enhance your skills and meet your goals.I will always play with my students because it provides an exemplar for them to work with. No matter what, practice makes progress!
About Samantha S.

I have been playing clarinet for 14 years and have been teaching private lessons since 2017. I have taught beginners through intermediate-advanced students. Many of my middle and high school students have been passing auditions for top-level ensembles! Outside of the clarinet I am a public school music teacher, teaching preschool through 8th grade music and enjoy spending time with my cat and 4 dogs, baking, and reading! My goal as a private teacher is to provide a truly customized experience for the student. The first lesson is where we get to know each other and get a baseline for the student's skills. We also set your first round of goals in the first lesson. From there, we use a variety of method books and chamber pieces to enhance your skills and meet their goals. I will always play with my students because it provides an exemplar for them to work with. Students will take brief notes during lessons as well, so they remember what we spoke about and what to practice for the next lesson. How much students practice depends on their level. A beginner may only practice for 15 min 5 days a week, but a more advanced player would need to practice for at least 30-4 min a day 5 days a week. This is something we decide together as students and teachers. No matter what, practice makes progress!
