Singing with Samantha P.

Hi, all! My name is Samantha Park, and I am a recent graduate of Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York! I majored in vocal performance. In this degree I studied language and musical diction (Italian, German, and French), Music Theory and Aural Skills (ear training), Music History, Acting and Opera Theater, as well as Vocal Pedagogy, which is what inspired me to teach! I have a passion for interpreting the relationship between music, language, vocal technique, and performance, and a philosophy of mine is that telling a story is what separates the singer from the performer. In our lessons we will study vocal technique, language meaning, pronunciation, and we will discuss the meaning and context of every song or aria. I believe this is the best way to create an impactful singer, and it makes singing all the more enjoyable when you can understand what you're saying/why you're saying it! I would love to teach those that want to be taught, and establish a relationship that is tied together through music!
