Hi there! My name is Samantha and I can't wait to meet you! If you wish to learn how to sing, read or write music, you have come to the right place! I've been teaching private lessons since 2012, and have loved helping my students become better singers, find their voice, and win many achievements! I went to Oakwood University and earned a degree in Vocal Performance in 2013. My teaching style is fun, focused and tailored to each student for the best results. Practicing is very important, and the more you practice at home, the more fun we have in our lessons. When you practice on your own there is a higher level of improvement! ***What to expect in a voice lesson*** First things first, we will work on the foundations of great HEALTHY singing. We will work on posture, breathing, technique, and determine your skill level. Next, you will learn to effectively produce and project a clear tone in a way that is healthy. If you are more advanced we will briefly review these techniques/concepts. With these techniques/concepts down packed, we will start applying them to songs that align with your interests and goals. While applying the techniques/concepts to the songs we choose, you will learn to add expression that is in accordance with the given songs, stage presence, and confidence. Lastly, I will briefly touch some music theory to make you familiar with the language of music.
