Sam is a technical teacher who runs the gamut from classical opera to musical theater to pop vocal technique, and specializes in guiding classical singers to a healthy contemporary sound. She helps each student find their own unique voice and sound in a healthy and sustainable way. She guides each student toward increased vocal freedom, range, color, agility, finesse, and stamina with instruction tailored to their particular instrument. Sam encourages all students to find joy and play in singing and in the learning process. She believes the best results come from a mixture of dedication and play, and nurturing the whole artist. She has seen first-hand how nurturing the body-mind-heart connection can help achieve a singer’s goals and a fully emotionally-connected sound free of tension.
