Let Your Voice be Heard by a Petite, Nomadic Teacher

You ever had a grandmother who is hard of hearing call you on the other end of the receiving line shrill, "How are you?!" To her it's her normal tone, but to you, she's screaming across a twenty yard field goal line. Singing the right TONE, the right NOTE, the right VOLUME and EMOTION can help you communicate what you want to say. it's all about balance and it's my job to help you find that sweet spot where you can serenade you loved one, or impress your friends on Karaoke night. Maybe you want to learn how to sing on key. You don't want to repel the street cats- you want to befriend them with your soothing cadence. If you want to practice learning how you can sing in the shower with confidence, let's work together.

    About sam S.

Hello there! My name is Sam from sunny Miami :) I work as both an English teacher and vocal coach. I first sang in concerts as a 4 year old in a band, and graduated into working for local shows and produced a musical for Palm Beach Atlantic University where I wrote, produced, and sang two songs. I have also performed in student theater and film. I love original musical soundtracks from Annie (1999), Cinderella (1997), and animated motion picture movies like Tarzan (1999) and The Little Mermaid (1989) to name a few. I graduated in communications and media. I know what music adapts and fits a character's voice. I understand what tone works to convey deep emotional scenes, and the timing and texture of a song that fits an actor's range. I often sing with children as young as 9 as I never tire of Frozen's "Let It Go." I work with adults as well. The styles of music I teach are Broadway, R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop, and Alternative. As for teaching ESL, I left my sunny home of Miami in the USA to the snowy mountainous country of South Korea in the thick of fall of 2014. After two years teaching children from three years old to adults, I ventured off traveling and teaching remotely. I am a friendly conversationalists with thousands of stories of my adventures abroad. I've taught students from Turkey, Italy, South Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and more. I teach conversational English, business English, vocabulary, diction, reading, writing. My focus is to encourage and motivate my students to be comfortable learning and growing.
