    About Sam M.

My name is Sam McClung. I earned a Bachelors degree in clarinet performance from Central Washington University class of 2020 and I'm currently a Graduate Assistant at the University of New Mexico pursuing my Masters in clarinet performance. As a Graduate Assistant at UNM, I help teach various college level classes music classes and hold a leadership role in many ensembles and student organizations. As a performer I'm currently a member of The Howling Winds, a woodwind trio/quintet based in Albuquerque, as well as principle clarinet for the UNM Wind Symphony. I've also spent the last year developing my skills as a recording artist through home recordings of orchestral clarinet excerpts and clarinet repertoire. I'm looking to expand my teaching experience to all ages and develop my skills as a clarinet instructor. I'm very passionate about clarinet and teaching and I'm confident I can aid in anyones journey as a clarinetist as well as impart in them a deep love of music.
