Violin with Sam M.

I have been pursuing the violin for about 12 years, as well as viola and cello. I am currently enrolled full time a the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College in pursuit of my degree in Music Education. I have been working very hard at my goal of becoming classroom music teacher. I have been teaching private lessons for 6 years, privately and at different studios on Long Island before I moved to Brooklyn for school. I graduated from Suffolk County Community College with my Associates Degree in Music in 2017. I have a wide range of experience with students of all ages and backgrounds. My mission is to find their passion. My favorite thing about teaching music is seeing how proud a student gets when they finally achieve something they thought they couldn't. Music should be a fun experience not a tedious task so I take the time to personalize lessons for every student I get so that they can get the most out of their lessons. I have done a lot of research about the benefits that music has on peoples brains and that is why I am so passionate about making music as accessible as possible. Music can improve test scores, improve your mood, and even your memory. It hones your motor skills as well and even the part of your brain that handles language. I hope that I get the chance to work with you so we can dive into the amazing world of music together!
