I am a fairly new teacher but I believe that experience as a section leader has prepared me for teaching. I believe I will be most useful to beginning students who are learning basics of technique and music. I can either provide individualized teaching that aims to create a strong base level of technique or provide assistance with school orchestra music or method books like Suzuki. I believe in a relaxed and flexible teaching style that creates a low-stress learning environment for the student.

Hi, my name is Sam G; I am 18 years old and I have been a cellist for 7-8 years, having taken private lessons for around 5 of those years. I have been principal (section leader) cellist in 3 school orchestras and have been a member of several honor orchestras. I am a currently a student of Eric Moore and a member of the San Diego Youth Symphony program. I am interested in teaching beginners, young or old. I believe that my experience as a section leader has given me teaching and leadership experience.
