Sam is a wonderful, patient teacher who will meet you on your level and mould his lessons to your interests! It’s always a pleasure to have a lesson with Sam.

I first met Sam in Brazil a couple of years ago and recently contacted him for online lessons as I was looking to go further in exploring folk guitar techniques. Sam's lessons are the perfect balance for me between technical proficiency and learning new skills in a way that he makes intuitive to follow, and also conceptual approaches to the instrument which have made a big difference in the way I play. A combination of these two factors and Sam's down-to-earth and encouraging energy have made the lessons motivating for me. I always finish the lessons inspired and wanting to play and come up with new ideas! Organisation-wise and on the technical side of things, it's been very straightforward on Zoom. I thoroughly recommend Sam's lessons!

He's an innovative teacher who's very good at enhancing your strengths and going from there. Whether it's songwriting, guitar, or other things, he makes me feel confident about what I'm doing well and then helps improve where I need to improve. He's also very patient and egoless.
