Born and raised in San Diego of Armenian-Assyrian-Mexican descent, Salwa is based in Long Beach and recently received her graduate performance certificate on viola at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, studying with Brian Chen. She received her BM and MM magna cum laude in viola performance at the University of North Texas College of Music, where she studied with Dr. Susan Dubois and Cynthia Roberts.
Salwa designs her lessons to fit each student's unique learning needs, and firmly believes in the words of Daniel Coyle, "Greatness isn't born, it's grown." She believes in every individual's unique human potential, and views each student as equally important and valuable. She is confident she can help you reach your goals and become the best musician you can be!
Was selected to perform and give outreach presentations to schools and concert halls across the country, as part of Sphinx Virtuosi (conductorless chamber orchestra) during their 2016 National Tour.
Selected to be a member by Dr. Susan Dubois, viola professor at the University of North Texas
