Piano with Sabra C.

Hi there! My name is Sabra Charles and I am excited to work with you. I have been playing piano for 11 years and have been teaching for 3. I have 4 younger siblings who all play instruments so I have seen first hand how important it is to start music education at a young age. With students I like to stress the importance of sight reading and pitch. I teach using John Brimhal, and Dog and Bird methods. Many of my lessons focus on chords, chord structures, and chord progressions. I encourage students to start with classical music and then branch out into other genres. I myself enjoy jazz as well as classical and pop. Students will also learn about piano composition as that is a great way to express themselves. In addition to piano I play guitar, ukulele, and drums. When I am not playing music or teaching I enjoy swimming and bowling. I also help with the music program at Seton high school. I work full time at in Tri-Health radiology. I look forward to working with you! Have a blessed day.
