    About Ryan S.

Hi! I'll try to keep this short but there's so much about emerging web tech that it will be hard not to! My name is Ryan Santos and I'm a hobbyist, enthusiast, and a freelance web and mobile hybrid app developer. To be more specific I take on many projects involving JavaScript front end web development. In the 9 years of my technical professional life I've also have a lot of infrastructure experience. But to keep it short in case you don't have the time to read this novel you can find samples of my work and test projects at: http://github.com/emag50 (Javascript Projects) http://ryan.pixmedia.io (Bootstrap Projects) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ionicframework.myapp100339090 (App I deployed on the Play Store for Android) http://livecoding.tv/emag50 (A developer stream site where I give live tutorials and work on real life projects) My goal is to gauge my students skill level, from absolute beginner to intermediate, assess, then provide feedback and suggestions on the most effecient way you can develop your skills. I might be holding hands step by step at the beginning but I will do my best to ensure that you retain that knowledge naturally. My beginnings were in making web applications from scratch then moving onto the popular CSS Bootstrap library. Eventually with enough experience I started making my own and I can show you how to create custom themes for your project build. This means using tools such as Photoshop, Blender, and other media editing tools to export/import into projects and giving them more color and life either by simple designs or some animations that can be done with simple CSS tricks and light JavaScripting. The reason why I signed up for this site is that I feel like I can convey what it is I'm trying to teach very efficiently. And I just simply love to talk tech and if I can have a student learn something they can take for the rest of their life then it's 10/10 worth it! So if you're more interested in the functional side of front end development, I can definitely help witht that. And if you have more interest in the front face of a webpage and designing it, I can also assist with that teaching CSS and HTML5. Web development is a very flexible aspect of application technology when it comes to design, meaning you can make a webpage do or look exactly as you want given the right tools and knowledge. As a web developer you want to establish your own unique style of building, especially if you're more intersted in the HTML5 and CSS design aspect of web design since that is what most users first notice when viewing a website. I like my websites to be something I made. It's much more rewarding and you gain more attention from the development community that way, which is also a plus :) Anyways if you've made it this far reading my novel then you have the patience of a Saint! And yet there's still so much more I haven't mentioned since I'm running out of space here. I absolutely did not make this short like I planned. Too tough :P

    Experience

Freelance Web & Mobile App Developer

    Feb, 2013 - Present

    Self Employed

Solo projects with front end frameworks with Angular 2, designing and developing for smaller mom and pop shops. Collaboration projects with other developers, creating mobile and web applications using WooCommerce and Zen-Cart as the database backbone. And just a ton of projects that have way too many details to fit it all in one text box. Even though I freelance and do tutorials, they all have purpose as well. I am doing as much as I can with what I know to start my own technical consulting firm with development operations.
