As a guitar teacher, my goal is to help students be able to grow their passion for music and attain the skills needed to express themselves musically. There are so many methods of learning to play the guitar that it can be overwhelming knowing where to start. I have been playing guitar for over 15 years and have studied with many amazing music teachers which have helped shape my methods of teaching. Lessons are designed to help students not only learn to play the songs they love, but learn how those songs were built and how they can pull the songs apart and create something of their own. A few of the skills student will learn include: - Proper technique - Chords, how they are built - Scales and how to use them - Ear training - Sight reading/guitar tablature - Fingerpicking - Rhythmic notation - Strum patterns - Picking techniques - Intervals - Triads and their inversions - Arpeggios I teach students of all age and experience levels!
