BIO: Having been described as a musician “with gut busting solos and dynamic versatility, Ryan continues to push drumming to new levels. With his forward thinking approach, Ryan may be forming an exciting new style of drumming. Lyan has toured across the country in bands covering many different genres of music giving him a unique style that can only be formed through [his] immense experience under his belt.”* Ryan is proficient in jazz, rock, funk, Latin, hip-hop, and many more styles. My teenage son has been taking drum lessons from Ryan for almost two years now. Ryan is the BEST instructor. He is patient with my son and very inspiring. My son enjoys taking lessons from Ryan. Not only is my son learning a lot, he is also gaining more self-confidence. I highly recommend Ryan as a drum instructor.

Oakland's own rising drummer/composer Ryan continues his life long fascination with music that's led him to study with Scott Amendola, Simon Lott & William Woodley. With his forward-thinking approach powering what may be an exciting new style of drumming, there's a bright future in store for Ryan as he continues to make his mark. Ryan has been playing drums since age 10. Ever since seeing the Rolling Stones in concert at the young age of 6, Ryan has felt the need to dance to the beat of a drum. The Rolling Stones (Charlie Watts) experience touched Ryan's soul and gave him the desire he needed to begin his life on drums. Ryan recently self-released a live EP "Live at the Stork" with BANDAID ARMY. Currently Ryan is working on a new release with his up and coming group "Bro Jazz" with multi-instrumentalist Ben Wallace-Ailsworth. The album will feature Grammy Award-Winning drummer Thomas Pridgen, Mike Sopko on guitar, Michael James Booker on saxophone and others. The album will feature original compositions by Ben and Ryan as well as songs created from explorative improvisations. Ryan is proficient in jazz, rock, funk, Latin, hip-hop, and many more styles. Ryan is very tour friendly as he has toured all over the country.
