My own love for teaching youth and fostering the passion for learning about
themselves, the world, and their place in it, will grow tremendously through the shared learning
experience that the program offers. From Germany to Southern Mexico, I have
gained a wealth of life experience and further developed my bilingual communication
skills while working, living, traveling, and volunteering in communities home to multiethnic
and socio-economic diversity. In Los Angeles, I provided in-class instruction and
counseling for high school and college students in multiple municipalities such as East
Los Angeles and Downtown. Serving Black, Latino, Asian, Caucasian, and Indigenous
communities, my students reflect the linguistic, cultural, and ethnic diversity of the city’s
I also have a TESOL training certificate.
High School, Middle School, and Elementary School substitute teacher within
the Nettleton Public School District for math, science, and social studies
subjects. Excellence in academic instruction for Nettleton Middle School
students in “Resource Learning.” Tasks include: group and one-on-one
academic tutoring, in-class instruction.
English language tutor for International Graduate and Undergraduate at the
International Center for English (T.I.C.E.). Excellence in academic instruction
and daily, open tutoring hours for culturally and ethnically diverse students
from around the globe. Tasks include: one-on-one academic tutoring,
High School and College Professor within the LACCD System teaching
community organizing and leadership development. Excellence in academic
instruction for High School students of Roosevelt High School in “College and
Career Planning.” Tasks include: academic counseling, career counseling, and
