Overview

My own love for teaching youth and fostering the passion for learning about
themselves, the world, and their place in it, will grow tremendously through the shared learning
experience that the program offers. From Germany to Southern Mexico, I have
gained a wealth of life experience and further developed my bilingual communication
skills while working, living, traveling, and volunteering in communities home to multiethnic
and socio-economic diversity. In Los Angeles, I provided in-class instruction and
counseling for high school and college students in multiple municipalities such as East
Los Angeles and Downtown. Serving Black, Latino, Asian, Caucasian, and Indigenous
communities, my students reflect the linguistic, cultural, and ethnic diversity of the city’s
population.
I also have a TESOL training certificate.
