I have been teaching saxophone for ten years in the East Tennessee area. During this time my students have earned a 100% placement rate in our local middle school honor bands, numerous placements in the high school bands, including 15 first chair honors. I have placed at least one student in the Tennessee All-State band each of the 10 years, with multiple students achieving this distinction for the last 5 years. Other accolades include: The NAfME All-National Band, the Macy's Day Great American Marching Band, the Interlochen Summer Music Institute, guest soloist at the International Navy Band Saxophone Symposium, Finalist in the Navy Band Young Artist Competition, and the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts.

I primarily teach classical saxophone, but I have an extended background in jazz, as well as full band experience. I am very comfortable in helping beginners start their journey on any wind instrument. As a saxophonist, I am sure that I will be able to help you reach your goal no matter what skill level you enter lessons with. I hope I will work with you soon!
