Saxophone with Ryan B.

Ryan Bright is one of the prominent saxophone teachers in the East Tennessee area and has been described as “one of the rare rising stars in the profession” by his peers. Under Mr. Bright’s tutelage students have been selected to participate in East Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association Junior and Senior Clinic events, All State Bands, the National Association for Music Education All National Band, as well as the Navy Band Saxophone Symposium and Young Artist Competition Finals. His students have gone on to universities with music scholarships as majors, minors, and non-majors to schools such as Indiana, Clemson, the University of Tennessee, Carson Newman, and Maryville College. In 2017, Mr. Bright founded the Knoxville Youth Saxophone Ensemble, comprised of high school students throughout East Tennessee. In their inaugural season, the KYSE performed at the University of Tennessee’s Single Reed Day, Knoxville’s Rossini Festival, and other venues throughout the southeast. Mr. Bright resides in Knoxville, Tennessee with his fiancé and dogs General, Captain, and Admiral.
