What do you want to learn? I can probably teach you all about it. flat picking, sweeps, basic chords, super complicated chords, tambura, tapping.......
While I don't let my students choose all the repetoire, I work to fully personalize your lesson with me. As we get to know each other, we will choose songs from genres and artists that interest you and use them to learn the important musical concepts embodied within.

Music is my greatest passion. I have been teaching music for 6 years, and have played for over a decade. I hold a Bachelors of Music Degree from Shenandoah Conservatory, and teach virtually all styles and skill levels, and I have experience will all age groups, from young children through adults. My teaching style centers around a solid foundation in musical fundamentals, upon which I foster a strong practice regiment.

Ryan’s knowledge of musical theory and of a diverse range of genres covering the early 20th century to today is impeccable.  He is an extremely dedicated musician, and that passion is conveyed every day to his students.  How nice to find a teacher who really cares!
