Ryan was very encouraging and patient with my son. He looks forward to practicing and having another lesson.
This was Katie's first lesson. Ryan was very patient, worked to engage her, and she left feeling very proud of what she'd learned.
It was great!
Ryan has a passion for music and he does all he can to help me on my journey to become a musician. I appreciate his input in playing jazz music and how to practice technique. He's helped me look at playing piano in a whole new perspective.
Ryan is extremely patient, prompt, and knowledgeable
Ryan was very patient, sweet and fun with my 4 year old daughter! I'm excited for her...she's going to have fun with Ryan!
Ryan is an excellent teacher and his passion for music is infectious! He is really helping me progress much faster than I ever could on my own. I have been impressed with his knowledge and ability to instruct me in the specific practice techniques to improve my playing.+ Read More
Ryan is great and patient with my son. In a relatively short time he now has my 10 year old playing, and excited about, the piano. Thanks Ryan!
Ryan was awesome! He taught my daughter about the parts of the guitar, helped her tune it, and showed her the many ways of how to pluck the strings. I would recommend him to a friend.
I've had several lessons with Ryan so far and have gotten a lot out of them. Ryan is very knowledgeable and makes his students feel comfortable while learning new skills.
Ryan is definitely a well informed, awesome instructor! So glad that I'm able to learn from him. He knows his stuff.
Great first lesson
I am just so grateful and excited. Good vibes! It's obvious that he knows what he is doing yet still allowing himself to grow in his craft. I just can't wait to bring the music in my head and heart to life. I am confident that Ryan will help me get there. I feel like we are supporting each other. Looking forward to our next lesson and I can't wait to compose my first song!+ Read More
Ryan is great! He knows what he's talking about and wants to make sure you understand everything that goes into what you're working on. I'm so glad I found him!
Great teacher, great person.
First lesson. Very nice. Ryan is quite amenable to different music styles and knowledgeable about music theory.
I think he will be a great teacher. Very knowledgable in the area of music.
Good first lesson!
I've had a great experience with Ryan. In 5 sessions he has greatly improved my singing abilities. He's taught me some old blues music as well as some modern rock, so he can apply his lessons to a wide variety of genres. A great teacher for people of all ages.+ Read More
Had a great lesson with my young daughter
He is awesome
Ryan explains on my child's level so that he can understand. He also goes through his everyday lessons and challenges him to put his own spin and be creative with them as well.
Ryan is a very talented musician. I am in my fifties and not musical but somehow, I'm learning how to play the ukulele. He puts specific moves in context and adapts to my preferences. I am very pleased with my progress and would recommend Ryan to others.+ Read More
He's an excellent teacher, I learned so much from our first lesson.
Ryan is an excellent piano instructor, he is very intuitive when it comes to building a foundation off of your knowledge (which mine was very limited) and assigned activities that were at my level. His love of music is very apparent, which made the lessons very enjoyable. He was great to work with!+ Read More
I have had 3 lessons with Ryan, and so far, it has been a great experience. He has TONS of information to share - about music theory as well as about the actual playing/music reading/tempo/whatever. He continually adjusts to my level and needs, as he gets to know me and as I learn more, which I think is key for being a good teacher (no pun intended!). I am not exaggerating when I say that I have learned a lot in the last three weeks - I can already see marked improvement in my skill and understanding. I'm looking forward to more lessons!+ Read More
Ryan's a great teacher who makes piano fun and genuinely cares about his students' progress. Helps students achieve their goals and also imparts his own wisdom and experience. Great instructor for students of all levels.
I have just started taking singing lessons with Ryan, but I am looking forward to continuing. He is clearly very talented, but more importantly, he is very positive and an excellent communicator of ideas. As a totally untrained singer, I really appreciate his patience and his encouragement. Highly recommended.+ Read More
Ryan scheduled Nathan's first lesson on late notice and it was a very good lesson. Ryan took time getting to know Nathan and what he's interested in so he could find out what music they will be working on together. Nathan liked Ryan right away and is looking forward to future lessons. Thank you Ryan.+ Read More

Ryan's love of music is infectious and extends to his teaching. He did an excellent job of teaching to my son's interests and skills. Our goal was to reignite my son's interested in playing the piano and Ryan accomplished this. I highly recommend him if you are looking for an adaptable, energetic teacher for your child.+ Read More
Excellent teacher, very passionate about music in the purest sense. Listens, and works with you to develop your skills in a way that both of you feel works best.
He is very talented and has a passion for music that is infectious. Made learning easy and fun.
Ryan is a great teacher that makes the music accessible to my son. His love of music is obvious and he does a great job of passing that energy on to his students.
Great introductory lesson.
My experience with Ryan as a teacher has been extraordinary. I have been affiliated with music my entire life and I would have to say that all of my previous choir instructors have a passion for music. Ryan's passion for the art of music makes you want to discover your inner passion for the music. He is very enthusiastic about teaching and great at listening for what may help the student excel. The best thing I can say about Ryan is that he is not a hard critic, which makes it that much easier and comfortable to find your voice while working with him. I appreciated his help thus far and hope to continue working with him!+ Read More
We have enjoyed working with Ryan. He has been really flexible and worked with what my son was interested in playing!
I wont bore you with a long review... but Ryan is the best bang for the buck on all of TakeLessons. He makes the lessons fun... not only do you learn about singing, you will learn about yourself. There is not a doubt that we will have a long working relationship.
I wish there were more than 5 stars to give him! Thanks Ryan!
