Music is a language, and I believe that if you can talk, you can play music. Spoken language has rhythm and pitch, just like music. It also requires some practice to learn. If you have a desire to learn and can dedicate some time each week to practice, you can gain a grasp of the basic elements of music and be playing songs before you know it. For many students with a strong desire, "practice" is not work, but fun. There are struggles, but with the right attitude, confronting and overcoming them is satisfying and exciting, rather than tedious. I work with both beginners and experienced students. I studied jazz and classical guitar in college, and have experience with a wide variety of other styles as well. I am a multi-instrumentalist and can help you understand how the guitar fits in with other instruments in a group, helping you to be a more sensitive player.
