I am an opera singer and voice teacher. I received my bachelors in vocal performance from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where I taught secondary lessons through the conservatory. I have performed all over the United States and in England. I am currently studying at The Eastman School of Music as a master's student.
After graduation from Oberlin, I began my private studio in Texas. My weekly lessons numbered around 60. Over the last 4 years, I have taught students with a variety of interests and goals. It is important to me to find the one thing that excites my students, be that a certain song or style, or maybe how to be more comfortable singing in their church choir. In lessons, not only do we work on vocal technique, we focus on what makes their voice unique, special, and all their own. Students will always have a new building block to practice each week. My intention is to inspire my students to have a discerning ear and to appreciate all that goes into making a voice work.
My students have been accepted to major college voice programs, as well as participated in competitions and summer programs around the United States.
