- Levels Taught:
- Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
I have a Bachelor in Family Life Science, 2011 at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. For the rest I went to school in France and got 5 diplomas in the clothing industry.
I love teaching very much, whether French, which is my native language, or sewing.
I have been a French Lab Assistant at Brigham Young University and helped my students pass their French classes.
I taught French to 4 children of different ages as well while attending BYU as I was living with an American family for about a year, just like an aupair type of situation. I mostly used board games and playing with their toys or on the trampoline to help them practice the words and sentences in real context, that's very important.
I have taught private English lessons in France, and I taught sewing too.
I lived in London for a year working as a seamstress.
If you are traveling to a French speaking country, I'd be happy to assist you via Skype, for example, while abroad.
I just love teaching skills to every age groups, this is my great passion, teaching. I also focus on helping children build self-confidence while I teach them.
My other interests are centered around nature, I love biking, hiking and going on adventures.
I enjoy cooking and learning about natural health tips and making home-made products.
And... I am excited to meet you and/or your child soon !
Please message me to set up and confirm a day and time before booking.
A très bientôt.

Hello, I am Rose from Antioch. Well, I am originally from France. I've just been imported by my sweet husband Jeff in March 2017.
I teach French and sewing and even sewing in French if you want ! That's ideal if you want to go on an internship or even work in the fashion industry in Paris !
To tell you more about my passion for sewing, I believe I must just have been born with the talent of sewing. I remember my mom running after me as she was scared that I would pock my eyes with her needles... Already at that age I was stuck to the TV obsessed with the Parisian fashion shows at each fashion seasons. But you know what ?
Interestingly enough I am not so much into fashion anymore because I have discovered the importance of wearing the right type of clothing specifically made for each of us. You know, sewing clothing stays the same whether we are into fashion or not, it really doesn't matter. I'd be happy to share more about that with you.
I also enjoy sewing house items and I like to figure out easy and fast ways to sew these items as well as clothing for children.
I'd be happy to meet you at your house or in mine or online, as you wish.
If you are looking to gain basic sewing skills fast then you found the right person because I have created a course that is specifically designed for that. First we'll learn everything about your sewing machine. Then you will be able to learn how to draw a pattern to cover a book of your choice, sew a zip, buttons, a sewing bag, a simple pin cushion and a little dress that includes pockets as well as bias binding on the armholes. At the end of this few weeks course together you will receive videos of the whole course that you will be able to watch over and over for free as you keep perfecting your new skill. The only thing is that these videos are still in French ;-) My French students have shared with me how happy they were with the details of that course.
And just with these basics you will be able to sew hundreds of items ! Isn't that cool !? Plus, to make it easier for you, I have prepared all the supplies for you in a kit for an extra cost. Ask me about it.
If we meet in person, a minimum of 2 hours per session usually works best.
As for online teaching I have a very good webcam that shows great close up details.
