    About Ronald S.

    4.6
    (8)
With a Bachelor's Degree in music from California State University Sacramento I studied with the best, including graduates from Juilliard and Eastman. I focus on what my students want to play and provide a harmonic grounding to enable the student to improvise or just "jam" with anybody. I also provide a positive reinforcement atmosphere and will accept ground floor beginners to advanced intermediate students. *** Lesson Details *** I believe it's important to create a relaxed, stress free lesson atmosphere to encourage creativity and self confidence. While mistakes are expected I believe building a students self confidence will make those mistakes disappear. We'll start with fundamentals which will build your understanding of what you're playing and be able to apply it to whatever music you wish to play. *** Travel Equipment *** Student must have own piano. *** Specialties *** I read music and can sight read any style. I specialize in classical, but also play jazz, ragtime and new age music.

Kind and patient instructor. Ronald gave us a great quick introduction to piano playing. It will be a good foundation to build on in the future when we can make more time for additional lessons. Thank you!
