About Ronald A.

I am an experienced professional with a background in music performance, education, composition, theory and arranging. I don’t teach classical guitar any more, but if you interest are anywhere from folk to jazz, we are good to go. *** Lesson Details *** Few musicians or music students have identical goals, musical interests or physical size. So, It is NECESSARY to customize the course of study to meet student requirements. There are common issues for any serious pursuit of learning involving the guitar; right and left hand technique, fingerboard knowledge, chord knowledge, reading and interpretation. However, to progress, it is also necessary for the student to practice daily. I try to maintain a healthy balance between the focus on performance and technical issues. *** Studio Equipment *** 16 Channel Mixer for Recording and Playback 5 Channel Mixer for Recording and Playback 16 Channel Mixer for Recording and Playback 16 Channel Audio Interface for Recording and Playback PA Speaker System Studio Monitors 55" Flat Screen display for projection of materials Record to Cassette Tape, and Computer *** Travel Equipment *** N/A *** Specialties *** Jazz, Pop

Ron is the best! He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about sharing his amazing insights into how music works instead of the boring, rote exercises I've been doing. I have been trying to learn the guitar for a long time, but I wasn't able to make sense of it until now. Thank you, Ron!

Ronald has caused me to love and appreciate guitars more than I ever could have on my own. His knowledge and enthusiasm are second to none and allows his students to achieve a comfort level that creates a peace of mind that maximizes the student's ability to comprehend, learn and retain the information given. Truly a once in a lifetime instructor.
