Singing · In studio

I was given homework last week. Came back today & nailed it! That's what he said. Still a long way from being a singer(my opinion). I'm still nervous & in my box but at least my box is open now. Ron's so great at what he does, he could make the sun freeze. After 20+ yrs of not being able to sing & only 3 lessons with Ron I can sing a Sandi Patty song then you know Ron's the man to call if you want to learn to sing. He'll make it happen!...Piece of advice, relax ;)

My 3rd lesson was Tues, Sept 5th. Ron is so positive & fills me with such hope. Regaining a bit of confidence in myself but still a little withdrawn. After only 3 lessons I'm not having to carry all my tunes in a lead bucket, just some of them lol. Thanks Ron, you're the best & I hope you know it!

Ron had excellent insight into the level at which I am currently playing and developed appropriate work very quickly.

Ron readily identified the level at which I play the piano. He then selected music pieces and exercises to work on that fit me to a "T".

Just my 1st lesson. Nerves got the best of me but Ron looked past them. Am I an American Idol yet? No. Will I be? Ask God. However, I do feel I will be able to sing again & regain the confidence I once had to do it with the help of Ron.

Where should I start?

I tried out a few teachers that I found throughout the Tulsa area. Saied's, Tulsa Guitar Shop, even all the way down in Bixby. But from the VERY FIRST lesson, I immediately knew it was a good fit with Ron. I only knew a few chords and felt embarrassed to show the "lack" of what I knew about guitar, but he was able to meet me right where I was at and help me to progress immediately.

After a year of lessons, I can play many different songs and I am still learning new things.

Ron is great. He gives my son input and definitely knows a lot about the Trombone. My son was having trouble learning one of the songs in band class, so Ron recorded a video of himself playing the song and sent it to me!! I couldn't believe how willing he is to go above and beyond to help my son succeed.

First off - Ron is incredibly patient. I think that's kind of essential to be a good teacher, but it definitely doesn't go unnoticed.

Presentable and Professional
As small as it is, I actually really appreciate the little details that he puts into making the experience great. Not only does he do a phenomenal job teaching, I immediately noticed the beautiful flowers and investments he puts into keeping his yard presentable. Again, I know it's small and kind of irrelevant to teaching.. but in my opinion, it's important.

Lastly, his home studio is so cute. He always has snacks and gum for me or my daughter. He even has a water dispenser for cold water. I really appreciate the thought he puts into making me and my daughter feel right at home.

While searching for a music instructor who was affordable, would provide lessons in my home, and was able to teach both piano and guitar, I found Mr. Ron. I was impressed with his website as well as his quick response by email. Mr. Ron has been a blessing since the first lesson. He is friendly, extremely positive, and always has praise to keep up my son’s confidence. Mr. Ron is a great mentor, as well as teacher. I could not be any more thankful to have found someone as talented at teaching as he is.
