    About Dr. Roger A.

I’m a doctorate-holding, university-level writing instructor who can help you grow as a writer. I’ve taught and tutored critical reading, analytical writing, and academic research skills for nine years, and I sincerely believe that your writing past does not dictate your writing future. No matter how “good” we are at writing, we all improve with consistent instruction and practice. My qualifications: • Current instructor of record at Colorado State University in Fort Collins • 7 years as a university writing center tutor • 6.5 years as instructor of record at two nationally-recognized public research universities, covering: first-year writing; intermediate argument and research writing; advanced genre writing; tutoring theory and practice • an overwhelmingly positive student evaluation record • 4 years as an administrator of a large public university writing center • PhD in English Composition and Rhetoric, M.A. in English Language and Literature; B.A. in Journalism
