Hey Everyone! I’m Rob! I’m a professional songwriter, guitar, and piano instructor with over 15 years of teaching experience. I studied writing and received my B.A. at the University of Florida and received a Certificate with a concentration in Songwriting and Performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston. I remember so fondly learning guitar when I was younger. I sucked! But I loved it so much I played all the time. And in no time I was playing songs on the radio that I loved. Currently, I love teaching songwriting. I love helping young or older musicians have a better understanding of how their favorite songs are constructed. I also have been consulting on several Hollywood projects for script revisions and doing a fair amount of creative writing. As a teacher, I completely understand the learning curve and have tricks to help you out in those difficult times. Lessons with me are constructed from scratch and tailored to exactly what you want to learn. If you are training to get into a college program, or preparing for a show, or just looking to learn the instrument, I will bring the same level of passion to every lesson, however will adapt my level intensity for what is comfortable for you. If you are interested in guitar, like, guitar, or love guitar, I would love to teach you and hopefully turn your interest into a like, your like into a love, and your love into your passion!   Robert is a Certified  Music Teacher. *** Lesson Details *** Lessons with me are constructed entirely around the focus of the student. I am here to help you achieve your goals!   If you want to learn how to be a guitar shredder, lessons will include playing techniques from the guitar players you want to play like. If you want to learn to be a great acoustic player, we will go over picking and strumming techniques as well as acoustic chord structures. If you are more interested in becoming a songwriter, lessons will possess education in chord structuring, melody and lyric writing, interval training, and general education in music theory.   Of course the basics of music theory, and general guitar technique are essential to becoming a great player and will be the focus for all students at the beginning level. Whatever it is you want to learn about guitar, I am here for you! *** Studio Equipment *** Guitars. Amp. Microphone. Pro-Tools Recording Software. Full weighted Electric Keyboard. Seating available for parents.
