My teaching approach is eclectic, drawing from a wide variety of methods and repertoire to fit the individual goals of each student. Students 5 to 95 are welcome in my studio and have made progress reaching their goals, be it studying cello at the college level, auditioning for All-State, or simply playing for fun. A typical lesson involves scale and technique study, etudes or orchestra class pieces, and selections from the standard (and not so standard!) cello repertoire. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
About Robert M.

Hi! I'm Robert. I'm a performer and cello teacher in the Tucson area. I have studied the cello for 18 years and had the pleasure of teaching others for 10. Students in my studio range from beginner to advanced-levels and come from a variety of backgrounds. My primary goal is to cultivate a love of music through the study of expressive, ergonomic cello technique to help students reach their personal goals. When I'm not playing or teaching, you can find me reading a book with my cats, playing D&D, or exercising.
