High School Chemistry and Physics Teacher

Having taught high school science for the past 20 years, I have vast experience with teaching all levels of learners.  I have taught Chemistry at all levels - from the beginning, introductory course up to AP Chemistry.  When teaching, I like to employ the 5 E model, which include the following components: engaging the student, exploring the concept, explaining the material with vivid examples, and then if time allows, extending one's knowledge with more challenging problems.  Finally, I would do a quick evaluation to ensure that the student has gained a true comprehension of the material learned.
