I have been taking biweekly lessons with Rob for about 6 months. I purchased a bass and started lessons within 2 weeks. I went from not knowing how to properly pluck the strings to music notation and composing pieces on my own in these last 6 months. No way you can go wrong with Rob. Very skilled and patient teacher (and bassist!).

Rob has been teaching my son who is a beginner bass guitar player. Rob has been super accommodating and I appreciate his feedback after each lesson. There is usually something to practice on for the next lesson and he is also open for questions during the week.

Rob will meet you where you are and guide you to where you are trying to go. He is extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, and encouraging. I play left-handed, and he is the first teacher to not hassle or try to sway me to be anything but me. He has been playing 40+ years, and proven his commitment through study which culminated in graduating from the Bass Institute in Los Angeles. He brings a level of both scholastic and practical knowledge which is well worth the price of admission. Rob is going to provide a level of knowledge and personalized coursework that is absolutely not going to be had elsewhere. Due to my location, we conduct the lessons online. I will say it has not been a hinderance. I started lessons with tempered expectations, but Rob has continually gone above and beyond. Anybody looking to deep-dive into the culture, craft, and practice of playing bass would be extremely well served to seek out Rob.
