Develop your violin skills with a professional violinist

I started playing violin at 3 years old. Wichita State University gave me the opportunity to get my Music Ed degree and start teaching lessons. I have taken over 500 lessons myself and played in many heavy gigging bands playing gigs almost every weekend. Improvising, Country, Jazz, and Rock are my specialties but I have played lots of Blues, Funk, and Latin jazz as well.

Be warned! Rob is unprofessional and rude. He ignored emails for over a week then fired my daughter before ever meeting her because I didn't answer his phone call at work when he finally decided to reach out. I had already paid and he refused to provide services or refund telling me "good luck." F MINUS!

Initially I was a complete beginner. I've been studying with Rob for a couple of months now. I think I'm making good progress and certainly a lot of that is Rob's doing. Very personable and flexible, he's really taught me a lot and is really good at teaching in a way that has me progressing steadily and not being overwhelmed by such a challenging instrument.

I usually take my students through the Suzuki books. In my opinion the classical method is the best way for new students to learn technique and the attention to detail that the violin or viola requires. When the student is ready I also am very comfortable going outside classical music with them and working on improvising or fiddle or rock or whatever as well.
