Adult one on one acting classes and monologue coaching, for learning the craft and for auditions

I've been an actor, director and playwright in NYC and all over the country for over 30 years. As an acting coach I have pulled from my multiple experiences and many teachers to create a way of working that is traditional and also specifically my own. Every actor starts with the basics and the pros always return to those basics. I'm used to coaching both newbies and pros. The process that I use is demystifying and fun, challenging and fulfilling. I will not mess with your head! We will work together as a team to bring your character and their story to life. Whether you're a classically trained stage actor, a film actor, or a musical theater performer, I can get you performing with focus, spontaneity and ease. Or if if you're interested in a long term arrangement I can train from the ground up, with focus on script and story, character and their realities, and organic choices that will set you apart from other actors.

    About Rob C.

I've been an actor, director and playwright in NYC and all over the country for over 30 years. My experience has lead me to coaching, and all of my experience informs my coaching technique. As an actor I have worked in many styles, and can coach for stage, film and TV. As a director I have a developed eye that can help aim you toward the best character choices and understanding of the style of the material. As a playwright, I am proficient in script analysis, and can teach you how to find the story of your character. I have pulled from these experiences and my many teachers to create a way of working that is grounded in traditional classical training, yet specifically my own. Every actor starts with the basics and the pros always return to those basics. I'm used to coaching both newbies and pros. The process that I use is demystifying and fun. I will not play with your head! We will work as collaborators, as I guide you through your craft development and/or your specific audition needs. Many of my clients have gone off to do lots of great projects. I am passionate about all things acting: theatre, film and television. I am always excited to take on a new, committed student. I often stay involved in the careers of my students, and even find them projects and use them in readings of my own plays. With that said, please note that these classes are for professional actors, or the student serious about becoming an actor. If you're a hobbyist, you should be interested in learning the craft the way the pros do. Let's get started soon!
