Founded in 1907, NAfME is among the world’s largest arts education organizations. NAfME advocates at the local, state, and national levels; provides resources for teachers, parents, and administrators; hosts professional development events; and offers a variety of opportunities for students and teachers.

Michigan Music Association was founded in 1967 as a non-profit, educational organization to perpetuate through high standards an annual competition for students in the state of Michigan. Its goals are to provide the public the opportunity to hear students in competition, to uphold a high standard in music education, provide a public outlet for the artistic talent of music students, and most importantly to help students gain the experience and confidence to develop their musical talents.

Our mission is to educate and inspire all people to understand and value the art of vocal music and its lifelong impact on the human spirit.

The Michigan Education Association (MEA) is a self-governing education association, representing about 150,000 teachers, education support professionals and higher-education employees throughout the state.

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is a professional membership organization that works to promote high-quality early learning for all young children, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children. The association comprises nearly 70,000 individual members of the early childhood community and more than 300 regional Affiliate chapters, all committed to delivering on the promise of high-quality early learning. Together, we work to achieve a collective vision: that all young children thrive and learn in a society dedicated to ensuring they reach their full potential.

The Detroit Music Awards Foundation is a Michigan 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, whose mission is to recognize Detroit area musicians working on a national, regional and local level. Its purpose is also to support and nurture the musical community in the Detroit metropolitan area, and to create a network for musicians that cuts across genres and styles.
