Violin with Rita B.

I stayed to watch the first lesson with Rita. I am very particular about how the time I am paying for is being spent. Rita covered the basics with my daughter without wasting a minute of time. She moved forward until she figured out exactly the point that my daughter needed to begin and started working on it immediately by recognizing her weaknesses. She reiterated instructions very patiently. She made her practice each instruction at least 5X while in front of her. She gave exactly what to practice and correct before her next lesson so they can move on to the next steps. I love that every minute I paid for was not spent on frivolous small talk. She was ready to get started and new exactly where she wan't to start as soon as we arrived. Rita is very personable and did not hesitate to make my daughter comfortable with jumping right in. Even laughing a few times at her mistakes made it easy for my daughter to not feel insecure. I have been through many instructors with previous children as well and I have taught private lessons myself, making me a hard pass on judgement towards others I pay. Rita was one of a very select few out of 17 years of childrens' instructors that I was impressed with on the first session.....EVER. I'm excited to see what magic she can work with my daughter!
