I am a professional opera singer and conductor. I have a Bachelor of Music in voice from The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
Voice students can expect personalized lessons that are structured at helping them achieve their vocal goals in a systematic and holistic way. Drawing on my 20 years of combined experience singing and acting on the stage, my goal is to give students the tools to perform with their best voice in the most expressive way possible.
I am an active performer singing locally with the Houston Grand Opera and with several other regional opera companies in the United States. As a conductor I have worked with many singers, choirs, instrumental ensembles, and Opera in the Heights. I also have two years of classroom experience teaching music at four private grade schools.
I am passionate about teaching and enjoy helping my students find their voice. I am comfortable teaching classical voice (opera and song), musical theater, and jazz.
Lessons take place in my living room (the acoustics are crazy good) where I accompany from a gorgeous Steinway Model D.
I have sung chorus rolls in several HGO productions. I recently made my solo debut as the Sergeant in Puccini's La Boheme.
Very patient and thoughtful. Have been taking for 2 years. Has made me feel exponentially better about my singing and performaning altogether. Would highly recommend for any age.
