    About Ricky A.

Hi there! I'm Ricky - I'm a professional actor and a proud member of Actor's Equity Association. I have my BFA in Acting from Cal State Fullerton where I studied under Russian master acting teacher Svetlana Efremova. I am trained in Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Chekhov, Meisner and Shakespeare. I find that so many actors spend too much time revolving their life around acting they forget that acting revolves around life. I believe that the most interesting thing in this industry is YOU. Who are YOU? There is no one else in this profession with your experience, your depth and your talent. You are unique. So much of what we know about acting stems from personal experience and individual truth. I believe that unlocking your potential through self discovery is the most efficient way to grow as an actor. You can learn every technique there is, but how you use it as an individual is what matters. That is what makes people sit up in their seats. They know the techniques, but they don't know you. I've learned this over the years attending open calls 3-5 times a week and submitting self tapes too many times to count. I've had the pleasure of frequently working in regional theatre including: South Coast Repertory, MainStreet Theatre Company, Coeurage Theatre Company and Rogue Artists Ensemble. I'm still learning from day to day. The education of this profession never ends and it never should. There is always more to discover and there is always more room to grow. That is what makes this industry so exciting and fulfilling, despite the many obstacles that will stand in your way. Join me on the journey and lets discover what makes you unique!
