Spanish with Rickie W.

I am an Online Spanish/ESL Teacher. I studied Spanish and Business at Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville. I pride myself on teaching authentic Spanish and English. This means that my students learn not only how to speak like the natives, by using their colloquial terms and phrases, but they also learn to understand them as well (understanding native speakers can be one of the toughest obstacles of language learning). I have been fluent in Spanish for 10 years. I teach all levels of learners (beginner, intermediate, and advanced). I studied Spanish in school and learned a majority of it on my own. I will teach my students how to reduce their English accents, and they will learn the popular slang, phrases, and expressions of native speakers. My methods are unorthodox, simply because I cater to my student's learning style, as opposed to a school course where they don't focus on the individual. I am all about making it an enjoyable experience. Last year I created a blog, and a video channel called, Bilingüe Blogs, where I give tips about how to successfully learn Spanish/English. I have over 2,500 subscribers and it is rapidly growing, so I know that my methods are working. Native Spanish speakers always mistake me for a native whenever they hear me speak, due to the words that I use and my lack of an American accent when I speak. At my previous jobs, I have helped break the language barrier between English and Spanish speakers, by becoming the interpreter/translator. I use Spanish as much as possible throughout my day. One of my Spanish songs that I produced, wrote, and sung, was actually featured on an album 2 months ago. I have learned many dialects over the years, but my favorites are those of the Caribbean, and Colombia. I am still very knowledgeable on the dialects of Mexico, Argentina, Panama, Spain, and Venezuela. I'm currently digging into those of Chile, and Peru. I'm looking forward to helping you become a fluent Spanish speaker.
