I first picked up the trumpet in the 4th grade. I’ve spent a lifetime learning the instrument, making a living playing it, teaching others to play it. Now I’d like to help you.

Hi I'm Rick and in your lesson you will learn:

The fundamentals of good trumpet playing. You will learn not just what to practice, but how to practice. I will help you with breathing and how to use your air effectively. You will learn how to develop a great sound - your sound. I will help you improve your range, flexibility, and endurance. You will develop new skills, build on your existing ones, learn new songs, and have more fun playing trumpet.

When we first meet, I will want to hear you play - just to see where your playing is at - and we’ll talk - do you have specific goals?, what do you want to learn? This will give us a good starting point.
