I am both an experienced live performer and teacher. I'm a Musicians Institute (MI) graduate. My 15 years touring included playing for Faster Pussycat, Peter Frampton and Warren Zevon. I specializing in the ROCK/POP genre. If you are a beginner/intermediate drummer than this is the place for you! My teaching includes mastering snare drum, note reading, groove, solo styles, stick tricks, rock pop metal basics and song covers when ready. I can even select drum kits to purchase when student is ready. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. I too have studied with Doane Perry (LA) and jazz great Don Zampi (NY) Let's get started!

Richard gave my son, who never played drums before lessons. He thought him how to practice correctly for better results. Richard is a great teacher because my son now plays in Jazz band at school. Hire Richard for great results.

Richard taught my son drum lessons while Jake was in college a few years ago in Atlanta, Ga. He gave him a great foundation to build from, teaching him rudiments on the snare and applied it to the drum kit. My son really enjoyed learning from him, he says its because Richard challenged him but always made it fun! Jake continues to play today with a band he formed! Richard is a true professional, has pro chops and is very personable. He's a great drummer and just a great guy! Highly recommended!! Greg

Great drum teacher. I studied with Richard about a year. I had played before, but Richard helped me build a better drumming foundation and guided me to me play better. I now am able to play in a cover band and use some of the concepts and techniques that I learned from my lessons with him. I highly recommend Richard for drum lessons.
