I am a producer, director, and actor, and I have taught all levels of Acting, and 'Voice for the Actor' for 30 years! I am also the Founder of a Summerstock theatre company, now in it 17th year.
My best gifts are in helping the actor to find the arc of their character and the builds and progressions in their monologues and scenes. I am highly skilled in helping the actor handle high-language text, and in teaching the actor to relish the words, whether they come from Shakespeare or Neil Labute.
My greatest experience is with college-aged actors, but I have worked with children and adults of all ages, including some celebrities.

Richard really takes the time to help all of his actors understand the material, and the voice connected with it. Not only has he helped me with my acting training, he has provided me with a lot of answers about acting that I never thought before. Such as, who are you talking to? Who is your audience? Connecting with your scene partner, knowing what you want out of the scene and what you want out of the other character. Truly don't know where I would be without Richard helping to guide me in the right directions regarding my acting techniques.

There is no greater Acting Coach. He takes a very practical approach. He teaches you exact steps, and knows exactly what to do to help you improve. There's no "just be this" or "just do it right" from Richard B. He actually helps you improve your skills and become an artist. He helps you with the internal acting and intention, building the arch of a scene/monologue, how to do Shakespeare, and anything else you're looking for. Expect to work really hard and improve your acting a lot if you work with Richard B.!
