I have been teaching for over thirty years, and also judge competitions and festivals. I put a lesson plan together that fits the students work ethic and makes it enjoyable. I work with beginners, intermediate, advanced, and college prep. As students advance we choose music in all genres, such as jazz, pop rock, new age etc. Students are also able to enter competitions and festivals.

    About Rich V.

I started playing piano at age 6. I started teaching at age 16 as a student assistant, and eventually started my own teaching studio. Earned my bachelors degree at Oakland University. I have judged many competitions and festivals, along with events such as battle of the bands. I taught at the MCCC piano workshop for many years, and I'm also heavily involved in organizations such as American Guild of Music, and Michigan Music Association. I'am well rounded in a lot of genres of music, and try to keep up to date in the latest trends in the industry.
