Known for her "lyrical passion" and "silvery tone" soprano Rebecca Elizabeth Wood received both her Graduate Performance Diploma and Masters in Voice at the Peabody Conservatory. She studied under the direction of Phyllis Bryn-Julson and Stanley Cornett.
She is currently performing the Opera Cares outreach program with the Baltimore Lyric and will be performing in Semiramide with Opera Delaware in Spring of 2017. During her time at the Peabody Conservatory; she sang the role of Rose in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene at the Modell Lyric Opera House, awarded the 2nd place winner of the Sylvia L. Green voice concerto competition in March 2016. Other roles performed; Cendrillon in Massenet's Cendrillon, covered the role of Helena in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Amore and Damigella in Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea. She received her B.M. from the University of South Carolina. Her most renowned accomplishment was singing the role of Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
