I am a former band director and current elementary music teacher. Teaching elementary music affords me the time and flexibility to work on a personal dream of mine: to teach clarinet privately to students!
I want to use all of my knowledge to help guide every student to their personal success. I specialize in working with clarinetists from beginning to advanced. If you're looking to start taking clarinet lessons to quickly improve, I am knowledgable in clarinet pedagogy. if you're looking for an extra boost before college auditions, I can help from not only personal experience of the audition process but extensive knowledge in the required repertoire for many universities. If you're looking for help in learning and long range goals for clarinet, I am more than happy to work with you at every step to achieve your goals!

Teach daily lessons preparing students for enjoyment and further study in music. Ear training, note reading, and beginning instruments are incorporated to encourage students to find their own musical voice. Direct after school choir which performs at school and in the community.
Directed middle school band, middle school choir, high school band, high school choir, and musical theater. Pedagogy included teaching young and older beginners, preparing students for college auditions, marching band music, solo and ensemble music, advanced band music, and community performances.
As a middle school band director, I started students in sixth grade on the instrument that best fit them. From there it was guiding their love and learning for their chosen instrument. Pedagogy for new students included note reading, "tune of the week", technique exercises, breathing technique training, ear training, and music. Students participated in solo performances, band concerts, and community performances. Students were selected to All-County bands, acceptance into the performing arts high school, and earned Superior ratings at Solo and Ensemble festival.
