About Rebecca T.
I specialize in teaching technique. Through the correct, high placement of vowels and deep breath support I can teach my students to have free, powerful and controlled voices. I teach all genres but I specialize in opera. I was an opera singer myself and I particularly enjoy preparing students for applying to schools to be a voice performance major. I have a student now who is applying to all the top music schools.

Rebecca is a really great teacher. I've been struggling to learn how to sing my own songs and within just a few lessons I've already had drastic improvement. Highly recommended.

I’m a novice to singing and Rebecca was very patient and made the lessons so much fun!

Rebecca was amazing and fun!

She was great! She was patient, kind, and honest. Unfortunately her schedule is tight but I would still recommend

Rebecca is not only professional and patient but she is an expert at identifying the best vocal exercises to address your specific weaknesses. She would make a perfect teacher for beginners, experienced singers and anyone in between. I've been a student for about 10 lessons and have noticed a big difference!

Rebeca is a terrific teacher, patient and thorough. For a novice such as myself, being lucky enough to have been matched with Rebeca has totally elevated my experience.

Rebecca was was wonderful. She helped me with my technique and was very patient with me. She corrected things I didn't even realize I was doing wrong. She also has a great sense of humor which helped me feel comfortable working with her.

Rebecca helped me workout the sensation of correct relaxed high forward placement. This allowed me to let go of some bad habits resulting in a much more free sound with greater potential for growth.

After I'd been studying with Rebecca for a while, one of the biggest problems I had in auditioning for Broadway casting directors was I would be so enjoying the sound of my own voice - the sounds she helped me learn how to make - so much that I would forget the words. I'm over that now. But it is an amazing thing to be aware - as I am singing - of the techniques that make that sound.
I was 80 when I had my first voice lessons. I am now 82, over the mid-year hump and starting to be aware of 83 on the horizon. Since becoming a student with Rebecca I have sung strong roles in musical shows in New York and acted in 30 indie movies. Only yesterday I booked an appearance on a major television show.
I am not speaking of "Guest Appearances." I get paid real money. None of this would have been possible without Rebecca's skills as an observer, teacher, mentor and friend. She is meticulous in listening and observing. She has guided me to do things I never expected to be able to do with ease and comfort.
Most important of all - by knowing what I know from her guidance - I have zero stage fright. I know what I can do and enjoy doing it. I have seen her do similar things for preteens and adults.
